About Sheryl Allen

Hello, I’m Sheryl and the main purpose of this blog is to make it easier for you to learn more about practical, doable, healthier choices to enhance your health and happiness. I believe we all want to feel happier about our bodies and our lives and mean to make healthier choices but sometimes life just gets in the way and we get distracted.

Since I don’t really know you or your personal situation, I can only share my years of experience so you can ‘try it on’ and see if it’s a fit for you. By remembering to simply ask yourself “how can I make this healthier?” you can make changes to creating a long-lasting healthier lifestyle.

It is my great pleasure to offer you some of the solutions I found on my 30+year journey of seeking innovative, healthier life solutions and putting them into practice. There are also some things that didn’t work well for me but I feel are valuable and just might work for you which I will share.  My tips are ‘tried and true’ and I stick to the Reader’s Digest Condensed version as much as possible).

My desire has been and still is to learn how to make the healthier (and sometimes the healthiest) choice in any given moment and, frankly, I still struggle with making healthy choices and even blow it completely (sweets are my nemesis).

With high stress levels and our incredibly busy lives, sometimes it feels like a monumental task to change unhealthy habits and I’m telling you now it is possible to create healthier habits and easily integrate them into your life without feeling deprived or having to become a ‘health purist’  and never again enjoy some of your favorite foods and activities.
